Tom McIntosh
Hey, I'm Tom. I love making software of all kinds. Currently, I'm focused on Mobile Development and Web Apps.
I studied Music Technology at Griffith University, where we focused on building bespoke synthesizers, recording live electronic performances and producing music with all kinds of software. From there, I grew a deeper passion for the technology I was working with, and I've been obsessed with coding ever since.
The apps I've worked on have been installed on almost half a million devices, and I've helped guide them to be best-in-market. I've learnt exactly what users love, and how to keep mobile services running smoothly. Every day is a new challenge, and I'm constantly learning new things and reshaping my opinions.
In my current role as Senior Staff Platform Engineer at Dabble, I guide the technical direction for our frontend app, which has exploded in popularity across the world. Dabble is a multi-region, highly resilient and elastic web service facilitating online wagering.
It's easy to create things, but it's hard to create something fun and intuitive. I believe that all software is art - a chance to surprise and delight. This is what drives me.
